Flame Celestial (Regent Records)

Following the unanimous critical acclaim for Hail, gladdening light, Regent Records has just released a second disc of David Bednall's choral music from Wells Cathedral Choir and Matthew Owens.

The disc - Flame Celestial - includes the remaining four canticles from The Wells Service, the large-scale Missa Sancti Pauli commissioned by St Paul's Cathedral and a number of other shorter anthems.


 



Requiem (Regent Records)

David Bednall's Requiem for Upper Voices, Organ and Viola. This work was commissioned and premiered by The Chamber Choir of St Mary's, Calne and their director Edward Whiting and the viola was played by internationally renowned soloist Philip Dukes. This recording features the same artists with the composer on organ.

The disc also contains premiere recordings of 3 anthems for upper voices - Salvator mundi, Let all the world and O come let us sing


 

Hail Gladdening Light (Regent Records)

A collection of his approachable and spectacular choral works. Performed by Wells Cathedral Choir - one of England’s finest Cathedral choirs. Includes The Wells Service and The Gloucester Service.
